Before you switch host
What's the difference between shared, VPS and cloud hosting?
Shared hosting puts many sites on one server and is the cheapest option — fine for a brochure site with modest traffic. A VPS gives you guaranteed resources and root access. Cloud hosting on AWS or similar lets capacity scale with demand and you pay for what you use. We'll recommend based on your traffic and budget, not margin.
Can you move our existing site over?
Yes, and migration is free when you host with us. We copy the site, database, files and email, reissue SSL, test everything on a temporary address, then switch DNS at a quiet hour with the old host still live as a fallback.
Do you keep backups?
Daily automated backups retained for 30 days, stored separately from the server itself. We also periodically restore one to confirm the backups actually work, which is the step most providers skip.
What if the site goes down at 2am?
Uptime monitoring checks every minute and alerts us before most clients notice. Managed plans include out-of-hours response. You'll usually get a message from us explaining what happened rather than the other way round.
Are we locked in?
No. There's no long contract, and if you leave we hand over a complete backup and help point the DNS wherever you're going. Hosting should be earned monthly.
